Band
There are three levels of band at Odle Middle School. Entry level band is called Concert Band, intermediate level is called Symphonic Band and the advanced level is called Academy Band.
“Band is a life changing time that will stay with you for the rest of your life. I believe that band is important in your life and moves you forward."

Mr. Roberts also runs two extra-curricular groups for Odle Band students. Odle Jazz Club practices every Friday afternoon and is open to all Odle band students. Odle Jazz Band is a smaller group of especially talented 7th and 8th grade band students who practice four mornings each week. Students have the opportunity to audition for Jazz Band in September.
Concert Attire
Concert Band (6th grade)
Boys must have black shoes, black socks, black slacks, black belt, white shirt and white undershirt. Girls must have black shoes or flats, black stockings, black skirts or slacks and a white blouse.
Symphonic Band (7th grade)
Boys must have black shoes, black socks, black slacks, black belt, white shirt and white undershirt. Girls must have black shoes or flats, black stockings, black skirts or slacks and a white blouse.
Academy Band (8th grade)
Boys must have black shoes, black socks, black slacks, black belt, white shirt, white undershirt and a tie. Girls must have black shoes or flats, black stockings, black skirts or slacks and a white blouse.
Clothing Options
Friends of Odle Music has a concert attire recycling program. Often our students wear their concert clothing only a few times before outgrowing them. If purchasing the appropriate concert attire is not within your family's budget, please speak with Mr. Roberts, or email friends@odlemusic.org. We have a supply of clothing that older students have outgrown and donated.
Concert Attire Recycling
Friends of Odle Music has a band and orchestra concert dress recycling program. Often our students wear their concert dress clothing only a few times before outgrowing them. If you have any black pants, black skirts, white shirts, black shirts, or black shoes that you wish to donate, please bring them to the FOOM collection box by the office during the last two weeks of school. The clothing is sold at for $5 per item during the Taking Care of Business days at the end of August.
